Esri released early this November version 2.1 of AppStudio. This is the latest version and is now available by logging into http://appstudio.arcgis.com/ or downloading AppStudio Desktop and Player from the download page.
New in AppStudio 2.1 are:

- Secure Storage
- High-Accuracy Positioning

- AppStudio Player supports biometric authentication and Integrated Windows Authentication (IWA)
- Support Universal Windows Platforms (UWP) app
