New in Image Analyst Extension for ArcGIS Pro 2.3

As part of the ArcGIS Pro 2.3 release, the Image Analyst extension has been expanded to contain several advanced capabilities and features. 

Key new capabilities users will see are: 

  • Machine Learning and Image Classification – A Deep Learning toolset has been introduced to enable users to classify remote sensing imagery using statistical and machine learning classification methods. 

  • Motion Imagery (Full Motion Video) – Motion Imagery has been added in ArcGIS Pro 2.3 to enable the management and interactive use of video with embedded geospatial metadata. It is the evolution of the FMV add-in for ArcMap. And, most of the functionality available in the FMV add-in for ArcMap is now fully integrated into ArcGIS Pro 2.3 

  • Raster Functions  The list of raster functions accessible in ArcGIS Pro 2.3 has been expanded. One new function is Focal Statistics which can be used for a variety of purposes from data smoothing and noise reduction to edge detection for identifying roads and buildings.
