Data Conversion
GEODATA has the facilities and staff to service the database build-up of GIS/MIS projects and other information technology applications projects requiring geographical information, geo-referencing of every record based on the design of its consultants or as may be specified by the client. GEODATA has conducted in-house benchmarking for the conversion of many local and foreign paper maps and has established data quality control system to ensure that digitized data provided to the client are accurately and reliably converted or developed and to provide its clients with high quality map outputs with attribute databases. It has developed or digitized large-scale as well as small-scale map data, which includes topographic maps, planimetric maps, cadastral maps, tax maps, and other thematic maps. GEODATA has served various clients whose requirements included digitizing, data conversion, creation of digital elevation models, linking of maps to attribute data from other databases.
Data Acquisition
We gather primary field information needed for the GIS/MIS applications of our clients. We map location of customers, households, facilities, networks using Global Positioning System (GPS) mapping methodology and other survey techniques. We provide remote sensing images, foremost of which are radar images from RADARSAT and Digital Globe. We team with other local and foreign aerial survey and mapping firms for data acquisition, orthophoto mapping, and thematic mapping of any area in the Philippines.
We package geographically referenced information from primary and secondary sources, and from government publications and information holdings for linking to GIS maps. We market digital map products, which we have converted in-house. We also provide information search services as may be specified by the client. Our latest product line is producing socio-economic and physical profiles of cities and municipalities on CD-ROM and for deployment in the Internet. In addition we now produce outdoor and indoor community maps with size of about 42 inches width or smaller.
